Assos' Geoprene outermost layer at the bottom of the leg also repels rain and road spray. It also gives a smooth seal with your winter overshoes. This winter version does away with the extras ventilation, focusing on warmth instead. The pad utilises lightweight open-cell foam to provide support and shock absorption.
